The Cultivating Care: Memory Café is a free, monthly gathering for people living with memory loss and their caregivers. We are an ʻāina-based (nature-based) Memory Café is designed to foster social connection, community-building, and meaningful engagement in an outdoor māla (garden) space. It is a safe and welcoming place to enjoy time together, meet others, and take part in simple, relaxing activities in the garden.
Memory Cafés are inclusive spaces that reduce isolation, promote connection, and offer joyful, low-pressure activities for people living with memory loss and their caregivers. Our gatherings are dementia-friendly, culturally grounded, and supported by trained student volunteers who help create a supportive and inclusive environment.
