Overview of Faculty Partners Offering Wisdom
The purpose of Faculty Partners Offering Wisdom (FPOW) is to foster faculty community and encourage collaboration by pairing a returning adjunct faculty member with a new adjunct faculty member.
To be eligible, mentors must be adjunct faculty with two consecutive semesters adjunct teaching experience at Durham Tech by August 2019. By applying, mentors agree to attend the mentor training in August and meet with the new faculty member at least once per month from August 2019 through May 2020. Mentors commit to attending two additional meetings, one in December and one in May, of all mentors and mentees together. Mentors also agree to check in during mid-semester points and end-of-semester points with the mentor program coordinator.
Please complete the application by April 28, 2019 at 5 p.m. Remember to ask your supervisor to fill out the Supervisor Support Form by that time.

Sometimes new faculty get hired unexpectedly. Would you be willing to have an additional mentee sometime during the semester? The collegiality allowance would be extended for this new mentee.
