Creative Exchange Application Form
This form is for members of the public to submit a session proposal to Kickstart Arts Inc for consideration in the Creative Exchange Program.

BACKGROUND
Kickstart Arts’ Creative Exchange is Hobart’s newest destination for learning and collaborating. We are seeking people who want to share practical or creative skills or knowledge.

Your session could be a workshop, information session, screening, talk, demonstration, or something entirely different. It could involve art, accounting, cooking, music, movement, craft, web design, gardening, flower arranging, crochet or anything in-between. We are open to hearing about any idea you have where information and/or ideas are shared between people.
All sessions take place at the Kickstart Arts Centre, St Johns Avenue, St Johns Park, New Town (behind Ogilvie High School). MAP: https://goo.gl/CC22RL

Accepting submissions for 2019: Sessions will kick off from March 2019 onwards.

HOW IT WORKS
Involvement in Creative Exchange is by application only. We select sessions based on the following selection criteria:
1. will it engage people? 2. is it interesting? 3. is it practical? 4. do you know how to teach it?
Once we have received your application we will process it on a first-come-first-served basis, so get it to us as soon as you can. Once we assess it, we'll let you know whether you have been successful.

If you have any questions about the application process please email creativeexchange@kickstart.org.au.

APPROVED FACILITATORS
As an approved facilitator you'll get the following:
> Free access to the Kickstart Arts Centre venues, and any equipment you need to run the session: projector, whiteboards, sound system, utensils, photocopier, etc
> A Kickstart Arts representative (Front of House) welcoming your participants, taking cash payments, ticking off enrolments, assistance with setup and pack down, housekeeping, etc
> Renumeration as above
> Bookings managed by Kickstart Arts
> Promotion through Kickstart Arts' marketing systems, plus printed promotional material for your own networking and promotion of the session (see attached examples)
> Feedback data from participants (upon request)
> Photographs of your session (upon request)

We're excited to be calling on people of all backgrounds to be involved, so if you have anyone in mind who might like to be involved in a similar capacity, please send them a link to this webpage.

PAY SCALE
We pay facilitators in accordance with their level of experience and/or expertise, a sliding scale from $30 to $60 per hour. You may also offer to volunteer your time. We also pay for time spent preparing for the session (up to 3 hours), and reimburse expenses up to $100.

PROFIT SHARE
Well turned out sessions do earn Kickstart Arts some profit. We will share 15% of the profit with you if your session is well turned out (75-100% capacity). This is our way of acknowledging the effort required to teach a larger group, and also to incentivise you to promote your session.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS
You will be either a contractor (fee paid on receipt of tax invoice, public liability insurance recommended), or casual employee (paid salary, covered by Kickstart Arts' insurance, Tax File Number Declaration required)
