Catalyzing Change: All campuses face a broad range of complex challenges that call for innovative and inclusive approaches to institutional change and problem solving. Many educators attend conferences or talk with colleagues, coming away with good ideas, but they do not know where to begin or how to make progress on them, particularly if they do not see themselves as holding positions of authority on campus. This day-long workshop is designed to help people on college campuses catalyze change using the best practices in community building and dialogue. It covers the key elements of collaborative governance: assessment, shared decision making, visioning, strategic planning, implementation, and reflection.
