Virtual Learning Devices for Students
The Vacaville Unified School District is preparing to implement full ‘Virtual Learning’ for the beginning of the 2020-21 school year. This survey will help your child's school determine what digital resources will be needed to help them succeed. Each student will need exclusive access to a computer that can run the Chrome Browser (Chromebook, PC Laptop/Desktop or Mac Laptop/Desktop) with a camera, microphone, speakers and Internet access. Smartphones and I-pads are not adequate for virtual learning. Students in each household will interact with their teachers simultaneously which will require individual devices for each student.

Many students already have a Chromebook, PC or Mac that will fulfill their virtual learning needs. If your child needs a device you may either purchase one now from the Vacaville Unified School District or your school will issue a Chromebook for the 2020-21 school year. Chromebooks issued from the school must be returned or parents will be charged a replacement fee for the full cost of the Chromebook.
