Please use this form to submit your story pitch. It doesn't have to be perfect, just a glimpse of what your story is to share.
Storyteller finalists will have 10 minutes on stage to share their full story. They'll receive professional writing support and a lot of storytelling guidance from us. We'll have regular check-ins and a dress rehearsal ahead of the event. Rest assured storytellers be well supported throughout this process!
When reviewing story submissions, the selection committee will be considering these aspects of the story pitch:
- Narrative Impact - Is the story pitch engaging, concise, focused? Is it an honest and vulnerable telling of real life experience?
- Advocacy - Does it shed light on experiences of families of diverse backgrounds? Does it demonstrate the need to advocate for better support for families in Maine, especially in achieving human milk feeding goals?
- Educational Power - Does it provide insight or lessons about pregnancy, birth, lactation, and early parenthood?
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: MARCH 17th.
We will be in touch in the first week of April with our finalist decisions.
Have fun and good luck!
