General Duties include:- Attend your specific committee meetings as scheduled- Attend and assist with events related to your specific committee- Recruit community participation- Other duties as needed
Events-Events Committee members main duties will be helping run and facilitate Greek Week events. This includes, but is not limited to: setting up and tearing down event set-ups, collecting event materials from sponsoring chapters, managing the spectator and participant check in lines, judging/timing events, etc.-You may NOT participate in any events associated with Greek Week (with the exception of philanthropy and public relations events)-You will be expected to attend a training session (location and time TBA)-You will be required to sign up to work a minimum of 5 events during Greek Week (~6-8 hour time commitment). -You must sign a disaffiliation contract by the General Committee Meeting and be disaffiliated at all events you are working.-If you cannot make an event you signed up for and you fail to notify the assistant events chairs and find a replacement, any committee points your chapter may have earned for you will be forfeited.
Public Relations-Public Relations Committee members are responsible for assisting the Public Relations Chairs in keeping track of chapter members attending Philanthropy events (Tech Beautification Day, Blood Drive, and Sting Hunger Now) or Public Relations events (Faculty Appreciation Luncheon, Alumni Reception, Leadership Breakfast, and Sustainability Challenge)-You are eligible to participate in any Greek Week event that is not a philanthropy or public relation event-You may participate in any philanthropy event, but you may not receive points for your chapter for participating
Social Media/Photography-Social Media Committee members are responsible for assisting the Social Media Chair to take photos and videos of all Greek Week events.-You are eligible to participate in any event that you are not signed up to work-Prior photography experience and access to a high-quality camera are preferred but not required
