The Berkeley Tenant Organizing Task Force is a joint project of the Berkeley Tenants Union, the East Bay Democratic Socialists of America, and the Office of City Councilmember Lunaparra dedicated to assisting tenants in unionization efforts under Measure BB.

Berkeley voters passed Measure BB in November, 2024, giving most tenants in the city a legally enforceable right to form unions. Tenant unions have the ability to negotiate with landlords for habitability improvements and file for building-wide rent reductions.
