NYU Project DCLT Friday Night Forums: Fall 2012

We are pleased to announce the dates and locations of our Fall 2012 forums.

We have a wonderful line-up for this fall. On September 28, Superintendent Dr. Rocco Tomazic of Linden School District in New Jersey will be back to share with us perspectives on the American school system and the international teacher.

In October the Associate Director of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL), Paul Sandrock, will speak about the common core standards and Chinese language teaching.

Principal Molly Wang and her dual language teachers from PS 173 in Queens will teach us about dual language immersion programs in November.

In December, join us for our annual holiday party and games, projects and songs swap shop.

Be ready for our American culture pop quizzes, and of course, year two of the Rock That Movie competition!

All forums will be held in NYU's Kimball Hall Lounge, 246 Greene Street at Waverly Place, from 5 - 8 p.m. Dinner will be served at each event. Professional development credits are available for in-service teachers. Please sign up on the registration form with the name of your activity. We hope to see you soon!

We are grateful to the Freeman Foundation for funding which makes these professional development events possible.
