About:
Summer Stewards is a new program through the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy for students completing the 7th or 8th grade to learn more about Pittsburgh's history and how humans interact with the natural landscape.

We thoughtfully review every submission and try our best to understand who you are as a person through your answers. Because Summer Stewards is a group experience designed to support students who have historically been excluded from science and the outdoors, we prioritize personality, interest, and motivation over academic achievement.

Who should apply?

- Students who have completed their 7th or 8th grade year

- Students who want to learn more about Pittsburgh's history

- Students who enjoy being outdoors and active

Summer Stewards is a 2-week summer program that runs Monday through Friday August 1st to August 12th, with a 2-hour orientation the evening of July 25th. We give priority to students who are available for the entire program. Can you commit to the full program? *
