How our CSA works
The main principle of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is that the community supports the farmer through a direct connection - what is produced on the farm goes directly to the consumer.
At Lauriston Agroecology Farm, we harvest and pack the produce once a week from July to November, then deliver the bags to a collection point in one of our North Edinburgh 'Pick-up Points'. CSA members pick up their veg bag from the Hub.
In 2024 we're hoping to double the CSA membership. We are looking for suggestions of CSA Pickup Point locations in Davidson's Mains & Cramond. If you know a potential space for this, please read on...

Ideal locations for a CSA Pickup Point would be
- a secure area - outdoors and inside a padlocked fence line where we could site a shed* for around 30 CSA member's to collect their weekly shares. *Ideally the shed would have a footprint of up to 8' x 6' / 2.4m x 1.8m.
or- a secure area - indoors, this could be inside a community building / shop which is already open to the public on a Thursday afternoon / evening (as this is when we deliver and CSA members collect their shares). A similar footprint of around 8' x 6' / 2.4m x 1.8m would be needed to store the shares until they are collected.

We already have
- active Pickup Points at the farm and in Granton (these are sheds that our members can access)
- connections in Muirhouse and Pilton to follow up with

Our CSA waitlist will reopen in March 2024. When it does, we will circulate updated information to those who are already on it. Our hope is to have this year's membership confirmed with everyone by May.
