2019 Engineering Research Symposium (ERS) Abstract Judge Registration
Thank you for judging! It is only through your generous volunteering of your time that we are able to successfully host the ERS. As a gesture of our gratitude, we would like to offer each postdoc abstract judge $5 in Munchie Money, and recognition (by name) in our schedule book.
You will assess multidisciplinary one-page abstract submissions using a provided rubric and judging procedure. The top-scoring abstracts submitted to each of our Emerging Research (master's and up to second-year Ph.D. students) and Advanced Research (third-year and beyond Ph.D. students) sessions will be selected to proceed to the poster competition.
Screening the abstracts before acceptance helps us to ensure that the work presented through the symposium posters meets high standards of quality and showcases the diverse research done at the U-M CoE. It also serves as a platform where students can have their work assessed and get helpful feedback to prepare better for presenting their work at external conferences and events. Participating as a judge is an excellent way of showcasing your commitment to serving the engineering community.
Abstracts will be judged from September 16th to 22nd. You will receive abstracts to review along with a rubric and further instructions.
