Peer Support Space, Inc. Committee Member Application
Peer Support Space, Inc is expanding and we are in the process of forming several peer-led, committees. We are seeking candidates who are interested and dedicated to becoming committee members in an effort to advance the mission of Peer Support Space while destigmatizing mental health and advocating for the peer recovery movement.

Please read the following information:

1. This is a volunteer, non-paid position.
2. Applicant will be contacted by the committee chairperson for each interested committee for a phone interview.
3. Applicant selected to serve as a committee member will fulfill this position for a one-year term.
4. Committee members are expected to actively participate in contributing to the committee.
5. Each committee has regular meetings, some more often than others, you are encouraged to contact a committee’s chairperson for questions.

Committee Descriptions:
The Fundraising Committee is responsible for overseeing Peer Support Space’s overall funding. Committee members work together to strategize how to raise money through means including thanking donors, identifying and helping with grant opportunities, working to create fundraisers, seeking out potential donors, and the use of other creative ways to fundraise.

The Public Relations Committee is responsible for building awareness of Peer Support Space and the peer recovery movement. Committee members work together to develop marketing plans, to create a speakers bureau, and to manage media communications.

The Program Development Committee is responsible for overseeing and advancing existing and new programs of Peer Support Space while completing community needs assessments to identify diverse populations that could most benefit from peer services.
