Young Latino Artists 23: Beyond Walls, Between Gates, Under Bridges marks the 23rd year for this annual exhibition dedicated to the professional development of emerging Latinx artists and curators. Guest Curator, Gil Rocha-Rochelli, is from Laredo, Texas and his curatorial endeavors are inspired by significant social changes across the Mexican American Border in the last 20 years. The exhibition will serve as a platform to allow artists to address issues of restriction, censorship, revolt, and the ways in which hope drives people forward.
Selection Process:Selection for this exhibition will occur between March 26 and March 30. Artists selected for this show will be contacted no later than April 7 and will need to RSVP no later than April 14. Selected works (or new artworks) must be available from June 2 to August 26. Artist will be responsible for delivery and return of artwork, including any costs for shipping and handling.
