We have limited spots available in each training. Training takes place at our wheelchair accessible centre space minutes from a TTC subway station.

TRCC/MWAR’s staff and volunteer collective recognize the need to reflect the diverse spectrum of service users. We discuss sexual violence through various lived realities such as Black, First Nations/Indigenous, Lesbian / Gay / Queer, East Asian, South Asian, Living with Dis/ability, English as second language speaker, Trans/Gender Non Conforming, Latina/Latinx, Survivor (Rape / Incest / Sexualized violence), Older, Woman of Colour / Racialized / Immigrant / Refugee / Newcomer, etc. What life experiences or strengths would you bring to the centre? Training & Commitment
Applicants are required to attend a mandatory Meet & Greet on Saturday September 7th, 2019. Please choose which session you will be attending. *
Your choice will be considered your RSVP for the Meet & Greet. Please note that acceptance decisions will be made after the Meet & Greet and communicated to you well before the first day of training.
Applicants are required to complete 6 days of training at TRCC/MWAR. Fall 2019 training will take place from 9:30am - 4:00pm on the days listed below. You may miss up to one day of training if necessary. Do you commit to completing the training days set below? *

Crisis Line shifts are 8 hours and run overnight (12am - 8am), day (8am - 4pm), and evening (4pm - 12am). Shifts can be split into 4-hour sections.
After training is completed we ask that you commit to working with us for at least 1 year. In the first 6 months we require a commitment of 3 shifts per month (24 hours). In the second 6 months we require a commitment of 2 shifts per month (16 hours). Do you commit to fulfilling the requirements of the crisis line outlined above for at least 1 year?
