Linux is a powerful, free operating system used by PCs, embedded devices, and servers around the globe. Unlike Windows or MacOS, Linux is completely free to install and distribute, making it one of the most versatile operating systems every created. Even though Linux powers tens of millions of servers worldwide, it also provides a great desktop experience, especially for coding and other STEM related tasks. In this workshop, you'll learn how to install Ubuntu, a popular and user friendly Linux distribution (version), as well as the basics of using the command line to perform basic operations.
No experience is necessary. No other materials are necessary, just come ready to learn.
All lessons will be conducted over Zoom, or a similar video conferencing platform. Seats will be assigned on a first come first serve basis.
