Program Registration: Apprenticeship
In order to add an apprenticeship programs to your college inventory, it is necessary for the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) to have the appropriate information on file to build a program in ctcLink and assign a plan code.

It is very important to differentiate apprenticeships that award a prof-tech degree or certificate from those that do not.  Like other professional-technical programs, apprenticeship programs must be registered and coded according to the PAR Guidelines which can be found here: https://www.sbctc.edu/colleges-staff/programs-services/professional-technical/default.aspx

All apprenticeships must be registered either federally or through WA L&I, as part of the registration process learn who the apprenticeship sponsor partner is and what their program ID is. Colleges need to verify using https://secure.lni.wa.gov/arts-public/#/program-search.  Please contact Karin Gitchel if you need assistance finding this information: kgitchel@sbctc.edu

The college is responsible for ensuring the courses being offered meet the appropriate rigor and accreditation requirements. This includes ensuring faculty teaching Related Supplemental Instruction (RSI) meet the criteria of a competent instructor called out in WAC 296-05-003.

For support with professional technical program approvals or revisions please contact, programapproval@sbctc.edu
