Registration to press breakfast
ATTENTION: Due to updated plenary agenda and the presentation of the commission's work program the schedule of the press breakfast has been updated. We will start at 8.15 and finish by 9.00.

You are invited to a press breakfast on Wednesday 12 February from 8.15-9.00 am. in Strasbourg (Members' Salon W3, Churchill building) to hear Green MEPs Pär Holmgren, Maria Ohisalo and Nicolae Ştefănuţă give their views on the progress of key forest-related legislation in the European Parliament.

The co-rapporteurs published draft reports on the Forest Monitoring Law (FML) (Renew, Sweden and S&D, France) and the update of the Standing Forestry Committee (SFC) (Renew, Sweden and EPP, Finland) this week. The political groups in the European Parliament are currently starting their work on these important legislative files, which will be negotiated jointly in the Environment Committee and the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development.

At the breakfast event, Green MEPs will discuss the Greens’ positions and the current state of these two files. Holmgren (Sweden) serves as shadow rapporteur for the Environment Committee on the Forest Monitoring Law and Ohisalo (Finland) on the update of the Standing Forestry Committee. Ştefănuţă (Romania) serves as shadow rapporteur on Forest Monitoring Law in the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development. They are working closely together on both proposals.
