Queering AI (Mariconiando a la AI): (Re)orienting Design Practice Towards Co-Predictive Relations

When and where:

• The main event: Wednesday 24 June 2026, 17:30 CEST Aula, Senate Hall, TU Delft (in person) and livestreamed.
• The low-key after party: We will continue the celebration with some cumbia, empanadas and aguardiente(!) at Restaurant Hermanos, Phoenixstraat 54, 2611 AM Delft from 19:30 to 22:30. Spaces here are limited, so please let me know if you would like to join sooner than later.

Please RSVP below by 1 June, so we can plan seating and catering, for the reception and celebration. ..... A PhD has a way of permeating everything; even making tea becomes part of the work. Mine was held up across five years by friends, colleagues, and chosen family, and by the shared knowledge, curiosities, and connections that came before. Finally, after many trips, trials, and triumphs, I am delighted to share this side-quest (turned main quest): a trans/forming body of research into Queering AI, a practice for recoding AI's predictions as relational and alive, so that more indeterminate, queer senses of the future stay open.

To everyone who accompanied me through gestures of care, long conversations, and the occasional good dance: gracias. Futurity, I've learned, is cultivated patiently, collectively, relationally. My hope is that this work offers a few signals for the border subjects, threshold peoples, and edge organisations among us, for designing and relating a little differently in a world entangled with AI.
