PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY

It’s that time of year again.  The Oak View Cross Country Team is forming now!  If your student enjoys running and would like to be a part of this year’s team please fill out this Google Form by Aug. 15th.

Practices will be after school on Tuesdays and Fridays until 3:30 PM beginning August 22rd. Students must be picked up by 3:30pm at Door 11 (the car rider line door). Habitual late pick ups are cause for removal from team.  NO other note will be needed for your child to stay after school for practice. Students should NOT wear their school gym shoes to practice. 

The cross country races are on a 1 mile grass course, in which students race against individuals of the same grade and gender.  Team registration is open to all 3rd-5th graders. 

This year we are planning for the Otter Classic, Husky Hustle, and Cougar Chase races. No transportation will be provided by Oak View to any races. 

Finally, there is a $30 fee to participate.  This money pays for a team t-shirt,  practice fun day, and team equipment.  Registration fee is due Aug. 15th, return to classroom teacher in an envelope marked                 Cross Country attn: Mrs. Ganshorn. ** Registration Checks payable to Oak View PTO. Cash is also accepted.

***PARENTS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SIGNING THEIR CHILD UP FOR ALL RACES!!!  MORE INFO WILL COME HOME DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF PRACTICE.

All team communication will be through Parent Square, race registrations will be posted on the school website as well as Parent Square.
