Writers Video Meet-Up
Thank you for your interest in a “writers video meet-up”. Right now, this is just an idea that I would love to make a reality. 

I’m blessed to live in an area that has a very active writers community, to which I participate with as much as I can, but it’s not always convenient. I often miss opportunities because of my crazy work schedule, but I still want to engage with other writers. So, here’s my idea to set up writers video meet-up, open to writers anywhere that can meet at the times I can. If this meeting doesn’t work out for you, I encourage you to create a meet-up of your own. We as writers need to fellowship whenever we can.

What I don’t want this meeting to be:
-a critique group- I hope people will share their work if they feel comfortable but will also make connections to provide feedback outside of meeting time
-a promo dump- I’ll see what others think about including promo, but ultimately, I don’t want everyone constantly giving sales pitches
-a book club- I absolutely love to read and talking about books and hope others will feel comfortable talking about what they read, but I don’t need another book club or pressure to read books not on my current TBR list. I am the admin of the IWGS book club and encourage those interested to check it out.
-a writing class- I am always open to enhancing and honing my writing skills but I don’t want to create an environment where everyone is giving their two cents on how something should be done

What I would be interested in:
-an opportunity to express writerly concerns or insecurities 
-an chance to encourage and uplift other writers 
-a chance to share writing jokes and or memes
-a chance to share and or develop story ideas
-a chance to possibly engage in short writing or caption prompts for fun
-a chance to see what others are into
