SDSU's SISSTER Application Spring 2019
We are so excited to continue the SISSTER (Sororities Invested in Survivor Support, Training, and Ending Rape culture) program at SDSU in Spring 2019! This Peer Health Education program aims to train sorority women to be successful leaders in sexual violence awareness, prevention, intervention, and survivor support.
There is limited availability in the training class, as this is a seminar style course. If you are interested in enrolling in the first training class of this SISSTER Peer Health Education program, please fill out and submit this form! Acceptance will be rolling, so the earlier you submit your application the better!
After applying for a spot in the course by submitting the form, you will be contacted by the instructor of this course to let you know if you are accepted or wait-listed. The instructor will confirm that you can attend class after registration occurs. There will be eight classes in the training program. All classes will take place on Tuesday evenings from 4pm-6:40pm at Calpulli Center (specific dates listed below).
This course is offered for 2 units of PH 496 credit and you will be able to receive a letter grade. You will not find this specific section of the course on the course schedule. If you would like to take this course you will need to be accepted based on your application, and you will subsequently receive enrollment instructions. Please be advised, attendance is REQUIRED. Most of the content is covered through discussion and presentations during class time! Essentially, make sure that this time will work for you when confirming after registration and DO NOT enroll if you have another class at the same time.
Scheduled Meetings (9 scheduled Tuesdays throughout the semester from 4pm-6:40pm):
- Can attend all meetings in their entirety (CHECK DATES CAREFULLY!)
- Already have earned, or be earning concurrently, 40 units
- Sorority membership
