Organize! It's Better in a Union!
Your right to stand together in union with your coworkers is established law – based upon your freedom of association guaranteed by the Bill of Rights and specifically by the National Labor Relations Act, which states:

Section 7: “Employees shall have the right to self organization, to form, join, or assist labor organizations, to bargain collectively through representation of their own choosing, and to engage in other concerted activities for the purpose of collective bargaining…”

Please use this form only if your organizing interest is in North Carolina. If you’re interested in starting a union at a job site not located in North Carolina, please visit the national AFL-CIO for more information about contacting other state federations.

Information collected in this form is confidential and will only be used by the NC State AFL-CIO to put you in contact with an organizer. Should you have questions or experience any problems completing or submitting this form, please email info@aflcionc.org.
