You are working on the software for the newest IOS update at Apple. In the middle of the project your boss approaches you and tells you to build into the software a decrease of battery life on old iphones getting the update in order to “help performance.” He threatens to fire you if you do not comply

Do what your boss says without any questions and keep your job because you need the money to pay for your son’s medical treatments

Ask him where he got the data that decreasing battery performance will improve performance
