‘Reach & Teach Science in Africa’ is an annual capacity building project developed by JR Biotek Foundation to strengthen research and innovation in sub-Saharan Africa through the provision of world-class scientific teaching, training and resources to 1,000 researchers and academics in African universities and research institutes by 2029.

The project is driven by students and post-doctoral researchers from the University of Cambridge and involves mobilizing research scientists from Cambridge and other universities to teach, mentor and provide appropriate resources to enhance scientific teaching, research and innovation in African universities.

We have a variety of teaching options that would allow you to share your scientific knowledge and expertise to researchers, lecturers and students in African universities.
1) Short courses/workshops in African universities - the duration is usually between 3-7 days.
2) Online Learning - volunteers can prepare 45 minutes lectures in various science disciplines, e.g. molecular biology, chemistry, statistics, physics, etc.), which will be available (open access) for researchers and students in Africa to have access to.

If you would like to prepare an online lecture or join our team in one of our workshops in Africa, kindly complete this form to receive email notifications from us. If you have any questions, please contact us at Thank you!
