If so, join Skagit Land Trust (SLT), Whatcom Land Trust (WLT), and the Whatcom and Skagit Conservation Districts (WCD/SCD) on Tuesday, May 17th, from 6:30pm-7:45pm for the first event in our Wildfire Risk Education Series! This event is geared towards landowners in Whatcom and Skagit Counties but is open to anyone who might be interested. This event will be hosted on Zoom and is free to attend.

This webinar-style event will feature an introduction by SLT and WLT staff explaining the purpose of the series, followed by presentations on the following topics and a Q & A session:

- Fire Ecology/Forests – Nick Kunz, Forester, SCD
- Wildfire Preparedness for Homeowners – Jenny Coe, Community Wildfire Resilience Coordinator, WCD/SCD
- Wildfire Risk and Response – Department of Natural Resources NW Region Staff
