Welcome to Conant Bears- A group focused on volunteering our time and resources at Conant to support our Cubs! 

This is a volunteer group focused on acts of service, donations, and support that we can give directly to teachers, admin, and students. 

Sign up for acts of services to immediately impact our Conant community throughout the school year. 

Below are the categories of groups and their descriptions as well as a sign up option!
Art Class Support Helping showcase our students' art pieces all year long!
  • Hanging up artwork throughout the school monthly to assist the Art teacher
  • Digitizing art pieces and posting on the front screen in the school lobby
  • TIME COMMITMENT: 1 hour a month per volunteer
  • NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 6
Staff Bathroom Organizing Making the staff spaces clean & stocked
  • Check the three Staff bathrooms every two weeks (floss, feminine products, mints, etc)
  • Restock materials as needed
  • **This sign up will include donating materials or collecting donations
  • TIME COMMITMENT: 30 minutes per month per volunteer
  • NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 3
Extra Clothing Sorting Assuring our children have sets of emergency clothes
  • Extra sets of underwear, pants, shirts are located in the school. 
  • Check each Thursday or Friday to identify what sizes of clothing need to be restocked
  • Gather or organize clean, returned clothes to restock
  • TIME COMMITMENT: 1 hour a month per volunteer 
  • NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 5
Classroom Prep Laminate or copy materials for teachers
  • Check the front office coping folders on Mondays or Tuesdays. 
  • Laminate and/or copy for the staff/teachers as listed (teachers will identify quantity, room number to deliver, & due date)
  • Return the materials to the teacher mailboxes once finished
  • TIME COMMITMENT: 1 hour a month per volunteer 
  • NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 6
Planters/ Lost & Found Helping our spaces around the school
  • Bringing water containers to fill and water planters. 
  • Swap out planters during the year as needed. 
  • Organize courtyard space as needed
  • Organizing and taking pictures of Lost and Found materials for families.
  •  **This sign up will include donating materials such as plants/soil. 
  • TIME COMMITMENT: 30 minutes a month per volunteer 
  • NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 4
Shelving Books/Bridges Prep Helping classroom materials stay organized
  • Prepping Bridges games and stations for math lessons. 
  • Shelving books for teachers as needed 
  • TIME COMMITMENT: 1 hour a month per volunteer 
  • NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 6
Winter Hallway Helper Helping DK and K students put on snow gear before lunch/recess
  • Meet students in their DK/K classroom to help put on snow gear prior to lunch/recess
  • TIME COMMITMENT: 1 hour a week per volunteer 
  • NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 5
