2025 Teddy Kradzinski Yoga Teacher Certification Scholarship Application

The Teddy Kradzinski Foundation is partnering with Unity Yoga to provide one full scholarship for its yoga teacher certification training to a person living in recovery.

The Teddy Kradzinski Foundation aims to provide access to long- and short-term recovery resources for individuals at different stages of their recovery journeys. We endow scholarships for individuals transitioning to sober living homes on their paths to recovery. We also enable those in recovery to achieve long-term personal and spiritual growth through practices in yoga, mindfulness, and meditation, as well as music.

Teddy was a certified yoga teacher and practiced yoga, meditation and mindfulness daily. The practice of yoga was an integral part of Teddy’s spiritual growth and recovery journey.

All required in-studio classes are included in the scholarship.
 
The recipient of the Teddy Kradzinski Yoga Teacher Certification Scholarship must meet the following requirements:
  • Minimum of 60 days of continuous recovery
  • Completion and submission of this application
  • Completion of the Unity Yoga teacher certification application
  • Meet all the Unity Yoga teacher certification application requirements including acceptance into the teacher certification class
  • Completion of an interview with The Teddy Kradzinski Foundation
Other:
  • Scholarship does not include any additional costs incurred due to missed homework, class time or additional teacher guidance.
  • Scholarship includes monthly peer support, provided by Unity Recovery, and is available either virtually or in person. 
  • Within 7 to 10 days after acceptance into the Unity Yoga teacher certification class, The Teddy Kradzinski Foundation will conduct a virtual interview with the applicant.
  • All scholarship applications must be submitted by November 27, 2024. 
  • All applicants will be notified if they will be awarded the scholarship by December 5, 2024. 
  • The Teddy Kradzinski Foundation's definition of continuous recovery means voluntarily maintaining a lifestyle characterized by sobriety, continual growth, making improvement in one's health and wellness, managing setbacks, and abstinence from alcohol and all other non-prescribed drugs.
