Thanks for your interest in volunteering with the Princeton Amphibian Crossing Brigade!

Crossings typically occur on rainy nights February - April. In order to attend a crossing, for your safety and that of the animals, you must complete training. Please don't just show up! You can sign up for Amphibian Crossing Guard training with the Sourland Conservancy, usually in February. Feel free to fill this form out again once you have been trained. At some point we may be able to offer training of our own in Princeton, and can let you know about that if you check "yes" below.

Given the weather conditions (cold dark rain) as well as the significant road dangers, this site is not safe for small children, pets, or anyone who is unsteady on their feet. This is a 100% volunteer operation and there are no facilities of any kind. It's just a dark wet road that may have amphibians on it!

I understand and agree that the Friends of Herrontown Woods, Town of Princeton, and any employee, agent or trustee thereof, are not liable for any injury or property damage incurred by the undersigned, during volunteer service/event participation.

I further understand and agree that my personal liability insurance should and does cover the types of activities in which I engage as a volunteer and/or event participant, and I confirm that I have health insurance that covers hospitalization.

I confirm by signing below that any personal automobiles that I operate for the purposes of my volunteer work are insured.

I understand that this event involves walking in the dark near roads on uneven terrain and I assume any risks associated with the event which may result in personal injury or property damage. I waive any and all claims I may have against Friends of Herrontown Woods or the Town of Princeton for personal injury, damages, costs or expenses incurred as a result of the event.
