OHIODANCE 2020 Maggie Patton Dance Scholarship and OhioDance Outstanding Dance Student Award
OhioDance is pleased to announce the tenth year of the Maggie Patton scholarship to support a talented graduating high school student pursuing a career in the field of dance. In June 2011, Maggie Patton, dancer, choreographer, professor, director and trailblazer passed away after a brief illness. Applications are now being accepted recognizing dance students for their abilities and contributions in a number of areas that support OhioDance’s philosophy that DANCE MATTERS. OhioDance's motto of "Dance Matters" assumes that dance and dancers can make a difference in the world. OhioDance encourages its members to engage their citizenship both as members of the organization and as active members of their respective communities. Awards will be announced at the Annual OhioDance Festival and Conference Performance, April 25, 2020 at OSU Dance, Sullivant Hall, 1813 N. High St. Columbus OH. If you are a member of OhioDance and would like to nominate a student for this award, please fill out this nomination form and return along with an online link 2 minutes or under (brief showing of the student’s ability), to OhioDance by Thursday, March 17, 2020. The student will need to accept the award in person.
