Staff are expected to arrive to work fed and encouraged to come armed with snacks and water. What to wear
The weather in Thailand in December can fluctuate and it’s essential to prepare for weather contingencies from scorching midday heat, cooler nighttime temperatures and even the possibility of rain. Waterproofs, extra layers, sunscreen, sun hat and bug spray are all useful essentials.

Shared accommodation will be provided for staff on site. If you volunteer pre-event and camping is not available, shared hotel/dorm facilities will be provided.

What are the shifts like?
Pre-event volunteers will work a minimum of 24 total hours divided into four (4) 6-hour shifts between December 1-14, 2017. Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to each assigned shift. All pre-festival volunteers will be done with their work requirements before the festival begins. These positions are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
During the festival, volunteers will work a minimum of 18 total hours divided into three (3) 6-hour shifts. Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to each assigned shift. All during-festival volunteers will work at least one morning shift and one late night shift to ensure that everyone works equal time and that schedules are balanced. Shifts are subject to change.

When do I show up for my shift?

Is transportation or accommodation provided?
No. All volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the festival. There is shared on-site lodging provided for volunteers.

I can’t commit to be a fully-fledged volunteer, but I’d still like to help out for a few hours. Can I do that?
We appreciate the offer but for the sake of continuity, we need volunteers who can commit to working 18 hours.
