Time: 2:30- 4:00 Monday-ThursdayLocation: Computer Lab 2
Session I: September 4 - November 2, 2018Session II: November 6, 2018 - January 18, 2019Session III: January 22 - March 28, 2019Session IV: April 1 - June 5, 2018
Every student in the On Track program is expected to:• Attend the length of the session they are signed up for. Students can have 6 absences (excused or unexcused) during their session. On the 7th absences they will be locked out of their course(s) from the program. In order to complete their courses, the student will need to enroll in another session. Once a student completes their course(s), they do not need to attend the remainder of the session. If a student is absent on the first day of their session, it counts as an absence. Please contact the On Track teacher Rick Bouwens at 651-213-2563 or Rbouwens@isd2144.org if a student is going to be absent. This is not a DROP in program.
• Be on time! If a student is later than 2:45 to their session (according to the On Track classroom clock), they will not be allowed to attend the session that day and it will count as 1 absence. These guidelines follow the clock at summer school, not by a clock at a student’s home or watch/cell phone.
• Be focused and work the full time. This means no talking, sleeping, playing games, simply not working (being idol for 10 minutes), etc. Students are here to recover credits, not to waste time. Violators of this will receive one warning and will be dismissed on a second occurrence which will count as an absence.
• Have good behavior at all times. This is KEY to being in the On Track program. If a student is disrespectful, distracting, rude, argumentative, non-compliant, etc in any way, they will get 1 warning and then will be dismissed from the session immediately and it will count as 1 absence.
• Be prepared for class. If a student takes materials home to make additional progress, they are expected to remember them the next day for class. If they forget their materials, they will need to re-do any note-taking again that is needed for an assignment/assessment or that is requested by the On Track administrator.
Important: • Students may work on their class(es) at home as well. As soon a a student finishes the required credits needed by their counselor, they will be dismissed for the remainder of the session.
Credit:Students will receive credit once they complete their course with 100% completion and a passing grade (60% or higher). The students report will be sent to the registrar and their counselor who will update the students transcript.
