Congratulations on your decision to run for public office!
The San Bernardino County Democratic Party (SBCDP) is committed to electing Democrats at all levels of government.
The SBCDP endorsement process is for candidates running for non-partisan local seats (ie Board of Supervisors, City Council, School Board, etc.). You must be a registered Democrat to apply.
If you are running for a local seat that will be on the
June 2nd, 2026 ballot and wish to seek the SBCDP endorsement, you must:
- Pay the candidate filing fee of $25 here: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/candfee2026
- Complete this written questionnaire by Wed, March 4th @ 5pm
- Participate in an interview. Interviews will be scheduled between Sat, Feb 28th - Sat, Mar 14th. Dates, times, location TBA.
- The final Endorsement decisions will be made by the SBCDP membership at the March General Meeting on Thu, Mar 26th
For candidates running on the June 2026 ballot: Completed questionnaires will be accepted from Jan 4th - Mar 4th
For candidates running on the Nov 2026 ballot: the Questionnaire will re-open in May
