Lahaina Relief Volunteer Waiver 

Mahalo for your willingness to make a positive impact with our community during these challenging times. The Lahaina Fire Relief is your opportunity to lend a helping hand and be a part of the recovery efforts following the devastating Lahaina fire. This ensures that everyone gets the sustenance they need during challenging times. We focus on using locally sourced ingredients while supporting our local farmers and promoting sustainability. Together, we can support our neighbors in need.


What to Bring:

  • Comfortable clothing that is good for rainy or windy weather- pants, raincoat & sweatshirt if you are farming
  • Tank tops and shorts OK for all departments
  • Closed-toed shoes mandatory for all departments
  • Refillable water bottle
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to make a difference in the lives of those affected by the August 2023 Lahaina fires.

WAIVER 

As a volunteer for Hua Momona Farms (referred to subsequently as HMF) and FOND, I agree to keep all HMF and FOND information including, but not limited to: Names, Addresses, Phone Numbers, Donor and Financial Information, confidential. I agree not to use my affiliation with HMF and FOND for any unauthorized personal use and/or gain. I agree to park only on HMF property. I agree to the NO-MOTORCYCLE Kapalua Estates vehicle policy, where HMF is located. (This applies only to farming volunteers.)
I agree to observe all HMF and FOND rules and regulations. I hereby waive, release and forever discharge HMF and FOND, its' members and volunteers, from any and all liability for any personal injuries or property damage that I may sustain as a result of, or during, my participation in any HMF and FOND events/volunteer activities, including any personal injuries or property damage that I believe I may have sustained as a result of the negligence, in whole or in part, of HMF and FOND. I further agree to indemnify HMF and FOND, its' members and volunteers from any and all claims of any nature whatsoever, including, but not limited to, personal injury and property damage, by any third party or third parties, which they claim are caused, in whole or in part, as a result of any act(s) or conduct, whether unintentional, negligent, or intentional, which may occur immediately prior to, during, or immediately following any HMF and FOND events. In addition, I agree that I cannot hold the event location owners liable for any damages. Lastly, I hereby grant permission to HMF and FOND to use photographs and/or videos of me taken during volunteer services in publications, news releases, online, and in other communications related to the mission of HMF and FOND.

I hereby agree abide by all safety instructions given by the volunteer coordinator.  Repeated mishandling of sharp objects is grounds for dismissal.

By partaking in any volunteer activities for HMF and FOND, I acknowledge that I understand and agree to accept each of the statements, waivers, releases and agreements contained on this page and that I will abide by these policies.
