Onsite Wastewater Practitioner Training Program – October/November 2025

This program provides the required training for individuals working in the onsite wastewater industry:
  • Required in Alberta by Municipal Affairs for those seeking a Certificate of Competency.
  • This program is recognized in other provinces under the New West Partnership Trade Agreement and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement. A student can apply for a transfer to have their Certificate of Competency recognized in another province.
  • Program Overview

    The program consists of four key components:

  • Self-Study (Pre-Work): Learning materials will be mailed to participants. 
  • Virtual Classroom Sessions: Eight full-day sessions conducted via Zoom.
  • Exam Day: Final assessment to complete the program.
  • Site & Soil Evaluation Field Day: Date and location to be confirmed (weather dependent).

Dates: October 21-24, November 4-7 - 2025

Time: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Program Requirements: Attendance at all sessions and field day; A passing grade of 75% is required on all components.

Fees:

  • Member: $4,047.00 (incl. GST) * Note: If you aren't yet a member you can take out a membership as part of this registration process
  • Non-Member: $4,787.00 (incl. GST)
  • Fees include all training materials and Site & Soil Field Day
