About the Event...
This is an event to gather public opinions. It will be held over one weekend (Saturday-Sunday), April 7-8, 2018. There will be presentations and discussions about health, ethics, and genetics. Many people, experts and others with experience in newborn screening and genetics will present the information. The project is for the Iowa Department of Public Health and is funded by a grant (from the Association of Public Health Laboratories and the Colorado College of Public Health NewSTEPs program) called the "New Conditions Grant".

The event will be held on April 7-8, 2018 over 1 weekend (Saturday-Sunday). The location is the Stoney Creek Inn and Conference Center, in Johnston, near Des Moines. People selected to attend the event as participants will receive a total of $250 at the end of the event for their time and opinions. Participants will also receive free meals and hotel stay during the event.

Please read this letter about the project.
