Florida Plastic Pollution Advocacy Workshops and Hill Day
Plastic pollution is a growing threat in Florida, impacting our environment, human health, and tourism. There are many different types of plastic pollution, such as single-use plastics, microplastics, and even more specifically, fishing gear!

Join Florida Marine Plastics Ambassadors from EarthEcho International to learn about plastic pollution, the various solutions to this problem, and how to become a strong youth advocate!

There will be 3 virtual Zoom sessions. You may attend as many as you like. Our first virtual advocacy workshop on Saturday, September 5th, 2026, 2-3PM EST will focus on education about plastic pollution and solutions. 

Our second advocacy workshop on Saturday, September 12th, 2-3PM EST will focus on individual solutions, such as letter-writing events and one-pagers.

Our third advocacy workshop on Saturday, September 19th, 2-3PM EST will focus on preparing youth for a virtual Hill Day to speak with Florida state representatives about plastic pollution!

Last, we will host a virtual Hill Day on Friday, September 25th.

Eco-friendly prizes and merch will be available to those who attend at least 2 virtual meetings.
