Cardiff Science Cafe is rebooting...
We have a new core team who are looking to take the Cafe forward in a new and exciting direction. We've got a few Cafes in the pipeline but would like to find out if we're on the right track. To help us with this we'd be grateful if you could answer some or all of the questions below.

We will do our absolute best to be guided by the responses we receive but as we rely on free venues and the goodwill of our speakers (we have no budget or resources) some things may not end up under our direct control. Rest assured all responses are valuable in helping us to develop and deliver Cardiff Science Cafe.

Thank you for your time and we look forward to seeing you at a future Cafe.

Cardiff Science Cafe has tended to avoided busy times of the year, e.g. school/college/university summer holidays. Should we continue with this?

Have you got any suggestions for a good venue?
Right, that's all the logistics, on to the heart of Cardiff Science Cafe: the talks and speakers. We're thinking about having two talks per evening each with a question and answer (Q&A) session followed by an informal mingle. How long do you thing the talks and Q&As should be?
The talks may or may not be on the same topic. You can choose more than one option and if you have further comments or suggestions these can be noted at the end of this questionnaire.

In terms of the talks themselves we're thinking about broadening the base of speakers. What do you think about this idea?
We're thinking about including academics as well as those who use science, technology, engineering and maths in their work or everyday lives e.g. beekeepers, ship's pilots, weather forecasters, road builders etc.  Feel free to leave any comments in "Other" below.

Do you have any ideas for topics or speakers?
The more information you can give us the better but don't worry about contact details.
Future developments - yes, we're already thinking about the future! We're thinking about developing Mini Science Cafes in half term for children and/or young people . Do you think this is a good idea?
This will be subject to resources and interest.

We're also thinking about putting on a special Science Cafe for Cardiff Science Festival in July 2015. What do you think of this?
