VOLUNTARY STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM
The Voluntary Stewardship Program, adopted under the Growth Management Act in 2011, has removed resource regulations for agricultural activities. As a result, there may be new opportunities to improve your land’s agricultural viability in areas where critical areas occur. 🦉 The Program uses a stewardship planning process, and relies on voluntary conservation practices for protecting critical areas and promoting viable agriculture. Take this quick VSP survey to find out how these changes might benefit you. 👨🌾 The following is a series of brief questions that will allow the District to recognize the stewardship efforts currently in place and to connect with landowners who are interested in new or additional conservation practices that promote successful agriculture without resource regulations.
🌱 Highlights of local landowner practices already in place are illustrated as well to show examples of successful stewardship here in Mason County.
