Hershey ArtFest & Flower Show Application
Hershey ArtFest & Flower Show is being held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, within our historic downtown framed by the iconic Hershey Kiss lights.

This fine art and craft exhibition will host approximately 150 juried and non-juried exhibitors, and will include a children’s area, food court, and multiple entertainment stages. Hosted by the Hershey-Derry Township Historical Society (HDTHS) and celebrating Mother's Day weekend, we expect this to be a wonderful start to the summer art festival season.

All exhibitors must complete this application. Jurors will determine if you will be placed in the juried area or non-juried area. Juried art/craft will be original work/fabrication/design, no “buy-sell” work will be permitted. Non-juried art/craft may involve work from molds, kits, patterns, plans, prefabricated forms, other commercial methods or franchise retailers.

Photographic prints made from the artist’s original negative and which have been processed by that artist are included in the juried category.

Complete and submit this application, including your website link of items to be exhibited. If you do not have a website, mail five photographs of individual pieces and booth set-up to the address below.
Registrations will be accepted on a rolling basis until April 15th.
Incomplete registrations will not be reviewed for acceptance. Upon acceptance a notice will be sent electronically, along with a payment link for final processing.

Please note: Payment will not be accepted until registration is approved and you receive notification of your acceptance.

Exhibitor Information
Exhibitor areas will be set up on both asphalt and grass locations. Food courts, children’s areas, and performance stages will be placed in specific, designated areas.

Exhibitor sizes available are 10’ x 10’ and 20’ x 10’. Food vendor spaces and children’s area spaces are available at various sizes as needed.
All exhibitors must provide their own professional 10' x 10' booth structure(s) with cover and tables with coverings.
- All tents must be commercial grade pop-up or free standing frame tents that are able to withstand heavy winds and rain. - All tents must be secured by tent weights or stakes (if applicable) at each corner of the tent.
- No stakes may be driven into concrete or asphalt and weights or stakes cannot be more than six inches away from the legs of the tent.
- Artists must supply display equipment.

Exhibitors' set up time begins promptly at 7 am. Each exhibitor must be ready to conduct business by 9:30 am.
Tear-down will start at 5 pm and finish by 7 pm.

All trash must be removed and hauled away from the street and placed in the receptacles provided throughout the show venue.

All artists must personally attend their exhibit and all artists must be present during the entire event. All artists must be responsible for their own work.
All booths must remain set up for the duration of the event at exhibitor’s risk.

The HDTHS, and Township of Derry will NOT be held liable for loss or damage to work or property or for personal injury, nor shall the artists or any of their representatives be a party to any legal action against any of the above named.

Artwork presented with this application must be representative of the work to be shown at the festival. Only works of art personally created by the artist may be displayed or offered for sale.

Failure to participate upon acceptance may result in exclusion from future shows.

I hereby release and forever hold harmless the HDTHS (hereafter, “Organizers”) and Township of Derry, all sponsoring organizations, and their directors, officers, employees, agents and volunteers from any responsibility, personal liability, claims, loss or damage at the festival.
The organizers are not responsible for any injury sustained by exhibitors or guests while within space designated for exhibits. Further, I understand that I store my art at my own risk without exception or limitation.
By signing this application form, applicant acknowledges having received and read this information and agrees to abide by all rules set forth herein. Applicant agrees that all materials submitted for juring are representative of work to be exhibited and that the HDTHS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to advise applicant of any work that does not meet the standards set forth, and applicant agrees that such work will be immediately removed upon request by officials.
Failure to remove such work or to abide by other rules set forth may result in applicant’s removal from the show and/or applicant being prohibited from future participation.
