Application for Solar Consumer Protection Workshop
CESA will conduct an all-day workshop on state strategies to promote solar consumer protection. Participants will engage leading experts and peers from across the country in discussions on community solar consumer protection, solar contract disclosure requirements, the incorporation of quality assurances into program design, and more. The workshop will be held on Thursday, May 17, 8:00am-4:30pm, at the Hyatt Place Chicago/O'Hare Airport.

An agenda for the workshop is available at https://www.cesa.org/assets/2018-Files/Solar-Consumer-Protection-Workshop-Agenda.pdf.

State employees from any state can apply to attend the workshop. Staff from attorneys general offices, ratepayer and consumer advocate offices, state energy offices, public utilities commissions, and other state agencies are invited to apply. We encourage small teams of two to four people from the same or different agencies within a state to apply. Each individual must apply individually, however.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the workshop has been filled.

Travel reimbursement is available to cover travel and accommodations at the Hyatt Place Chicago/O'Hare Airport (6810 Mannheim Road, Rosemont, IL 60018). If you seek travel and hotel reimbursement, please indicate that on this form. The workshop will be held in close proximity to O’Hare Airport to make travel to and from it easy.

This workshop is being conducted through CESA’s Sustainable Solar Education Project, which provides information and educational resources to state and municipal officials on strategies to ensure distributed solar electricity remains consumer friendly and accessible for low- and moderate-income households. The Sustainable Solar Education Project is managed by CESA and is funded through the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office.

Contact CESA Project Director Nate Hausman by phone at (802)223-2554 x206 or by email at nate@cleanegroup.org if you have any questions about this workshop.
