    The following are the rules you will follow during BOBH.

    In place of a required training, all expectations are listed here. Please contact our head medic (medic@b0bh2016.com) with all questions or concerns as soon as possible. By signing and submitting this application, you agree to the following: A. I will remain professional, and project the utmost respect to all persons in and associated with BOBH. This includes my language, and clothing. Shirts will be provided to emergency staff, and are expected to be worn during the duration of any shifts. My language will be family friendly, and my clothing will allow full execution of my duties, and be entirely non-offensive. B. I will be treated with the utmost respect. I will bring any personal concerns to the head medic, or lead organizer, who will rectify the situation. C. I understand that I will not have access to tobacco breaks during my shifts. D. I will bring a cell phone, HOWEVER will not use my cell phone, except for medically pertinent communication, during my shift. I understand that if a need arises to use my phone, I will wait until my role is covered by the head medic. E. I will not consume alcohol or recreational drugs during the same day of my shift, until my shift is finished. I will respect my role as a representative of the organization at all times. F. I understand that two medical staff are necessary at all times, and as such, will remain in my role at the end of my shift until relieved. G. I will communicate any concerns, changes, or questions to the head medic: before, during, and after the tournament. H. I will operate within my scope of practice. Any decisions not covered by these standard medical practices will be handled by the head medic. I. I will have read and fully understood all MRDA (men's roller derby association) rules and guidelines pertaining to medical topics one week prior to my first shift. I will direct any questions to the head medic by this time. I understand that I am expected to arrive to my shift fully prepared to enact and defend the medical rules of MRDA, and that the head medic will fully support me in understanding these, when I ask for support. I will arrive prepared to explain these rules to players and coaches. J. I will arrive to each shift in time to both allow other volunteers to finish their shifts on time, and to allow them to update me on any ongoing concerns. K. I will follow all privacy guidelines of HIPPA at all times. I will provide privacy at the highest level possible to my patients. L. I understand that in addition to emergency care, I will be providing preventive and ongoing care to skaters. I will be proactive in my care. I will communicate any ongoing concerns to both the medic relieving me, and the head medic. M. I understand that as an official, I must remain neutral toward all teams and players. I will not express support for any individual team members or teams, during my shift. Off shift, while at BOBH, I will not wear any clothing or symbols that support or represent any teams or individuals competing at BOBH. While off shift, I will not express any negative feelings towards players or teams, or discuss medical information. N. I understand that failure to follow these rules may necessitate that I am removed from volunteering as a medical staff.

    Medical staff are an integral and important piece of roller derby! We are so pleased that you will share your skills with us, and help make this the best 1st annual Battle Of Bunker Hill ever! Your dedication to taking care of people will be respected and used at BOBH. You will likely experience new and exciting field care, and be appreciated by a wide variety of people. Please know how much we value you and your time! In addition to a staff shirt, you will be given access to an assortment of food, water and as many baked goods as we can humanly provide.
