Saturday, February 29 at 3:00pm-6:00pm: Performance Workshop (Veterans & their Family Members Welcome)

Both workshops will take place at
The Artist Co-Op

Suite 3W

Facilitated by J. A. Moad II and Jenny Pacanowski

Warrior cultures of the past such as the Greeks, Romans, and Native Americans, welcomed their military home in rituals of storytelling. Following in that tradition, the Veteran Voices program seeks to revive these practices through creating an environment for veterans to share their stories, helping them to express those stories in a way that informs others, helping them recognize that their experiences do not define them and that they are universal and part of a long line of experiences from warriors throughout history, and lastly, help them become comfortable sharing on stage if they so desire.

These workshops are designed to guide veterans through a process of writing and performance that empowers them to speak their truths, share their experiences, bear witness together, and exist in a space of creativity, compassion, and camaraderie.

Workshop registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Each workshop has space for up to 12 participants. Inclusivity is a key value to this program; registration is open to all veterans, all identities, all eras, all branches of service. There are no fees associated with participation in these workshops.

January 11th's workshop is for military veterans ONLY; February 29th is open to both veterans and their family members.

Feel free to reach out to with any questions you may have.
