Recent changes in lifestyle and prolific growth threaten social justice and compromise ecological integrity. In the interconnected world in which we live, individuals and communities are responsible for defining their roles and making decisions within the broader context of sustainability. To that end, this symposium, WHAT SUSTAINS US? ENVISIONING OUR FUTURE, is aimed at exploring and evaluating sustainability through an interdisciplinary lens. Thus, we invite scholars, artists, educators, business leaders, journalists, and community members to explore connections among individual responsibilities and global solutions, as evidenced by innovative approaches, promising models, and action plans.
