Description: In this workshop, young poets can explore who they are and where they come from through generative exercises. We’ll recall childhood memories, write from the perspective of one of their favorite objects, and offer advice to their younger selves. We’ll also experiment with taking something we’re not confident about and re-framing it in a new way.
We’ll look at poets like Nayyirah Waheed and how they define themselves through language.
