Four-Week Ukulele Workshop Series with Glen McCarthy
Wednesday, March 18 – Wednesday April 8
7 – 8:30 PM
The Veterans and the Arts Initiative is offering the Veteran community the opportunity to participate in a four-week series. All participants are requested to participate in all four weeks of the series.
A component of participation in this series includes completing research surveys during the first and last weeks of the series. The surveys measure sense of community, social support, and motivators for participation in the series. All survey responses will be kept anonymous. If you have questions regarding the research component, please contact Dr. Niyati Dhokai, Program Director for the Veterans and the Arts Initiative at
Sessions are FREE to Veterans, Servicemembers, their families, and military caregivers. Instruments will be provided for participants to borrow during the sessions.
Please note the information sheet on HyltonCenter.org/veterans for information about minimum age of participation, as well as our inclement weather policy.
Musicians of all skill levels are invited. The objective of the workshops is to help each participant improve their general ukulele skills to play songs; curriculum is flexible and is determined at the discretion of the instructor to meet the needs of a diverse group of abilities.
To be considered for the workshop, please fill out the registration below, and you will be contacted regarding the status of your registration. Registration forms that are incomplete will be returned to be completed. Each member of a family who is participating should fill out an individual form.
(Please note – there will be no automatic reply generated from the submission of this registration form; please allow up to five business days to receive notice from the Hylton Center staff regarding the status of your registration.)
