Celebrating its 29th year, the KVMR Celtic Festival returns to the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley, California for a weekend of music and magic — KVMR Celtic Fest celebrates the rich traditions of Celtic music, song, and dance from all across the Celtic nations and communities.

KVMR Celtic Festival description/Mission statement: The Celtic Festival is the primary annual fundraising benefit for KVMR Community Radio. Established in 1978, KVMR stands as a beacon of community engagement and cultural enrichment.  As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, its mission revolves around fostering community connections, amplifying diverse voices, and delivering a wide array of programming that reflects the unique interests and concerns of its listeners. The Celtic Festival regularly draws over 7,000 attendees and promotional outreach extends throughout KVMR’s listening area through live broadcast, streaming, and the KVMR app to more than 40,000 listeners.

Application Guidelines:

  • KVMR Celtic Fest focuses on artists that bring a deep understanding of traditional music from across the vast Celtic traditions and cultures.  

  • You must apply with the exact lineup you intend to perform with. Any changes to your band members after acceptance should be communicated with festival director ASAP and is subject to cancellation of acceptance. Please submit a single group bio rather than individual bios.

    International artists will be responsible for their own visas. 

  • Main stage artists will have a 100 mile radius exclusivity clause 60 days before and after the festival.

  • Programming decisions will be made by Oct 19, 2026.
