Dear Partner,
You have been receiving ISHR’s Alert to the Human Rights Council (HRC) ahead of each Council session. The Alert is meant to provide our key partners - human rights defenders, diplomats and UN colleagues alike - with information for their engagement with the HRC.
The Alert compiles the key issues, debates and opportunities on the agenda for that session. It also provides summaries of ISHR’s key priorities for each session, providing short context and key messaging.
ISHR is now working to strengthen these Alerts to make them more useful and effective for our partners and audiences. Your feedback is essential in this regard. We appreciate you taking 5 minutes of your time to answer the few questions below.
About ISHR:
ISHR facilitates access and participation of human rights defenders to strategically engage with UN human rights mechanisms, including the Council. We do this through training, advocacy support and producing resources and materials to facilitate the work of defenders. ISHR also engages in advocacy to strengthen the recognition and protection of human rights defenders through UN processes, while working to ensure that the UN bodies and instruments themselves are accessible, inclusive and accountable to rights holders.
