Seeking volunteers: Board of Directors
Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design is seeking new volunteer members for its Board of Directors.
Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design (the Centre), has been serving the needs of the Unama’ki-Cape Breton craft sector for 50 years. The Centre’s mandate is to promote, develop and support excellence in craft and design, both professional and recreational, through education and training.
Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design’s Board of Directors is seeking new members with diverse perspectives and backgrounds to join our collaborative leadership team. We are seeking candidates for the Board of Directors who are strategic thinkers and community-minded individuals with an appreciation for the arts and expertise in one or more of the following areas: community leadership, human resources, donor cultivation and sponsorship, housing & development, and governance.
Candidates must support the vision and mandate of the organization.
Board term begins June 2022; members are asked to serve for a minimum of three (3) years; members are expected to attend five (5) Board meetings each year along with the Annual General Meeting; members of the Board will serve on committees.
