RELEASE FROM DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Date: Thursday October 15, 2020
Time: 6:00pm
Location: 102 Merry Court, Milledgeville, GA (The event will be outside on Lake Sinclair)
Attire: Casual/Fall Weather attire (bring a lite jacket)
Questions: (478) 227-0029 and events@hoganneforsolicitor.com

Victims of Domestic Violence often feel they are responsible for the other person's behavior. We want to dispel and address this issue through open dialogue, role playing, and sister-to-sister support. Each registered attendant will be given a biodegradable floating lantern. At the end of the event each person will release the lantern into the lake. Please make sure you register everyone coming with you, because there will not be any lantern available for unregistered participants.

The RELEASE will be symbolic of:

Release from guilt.
Release from stress.
Release from the stigma that domestic violence should be kept quiet or doesn't occur.
Release from the person causing the abuse.

It is also Breast Cancer Month. I am a cancer survivor, so anyone can RELEASE a lantern in honor of anyone who has beat cancer or is an Angel of Strength and Beauty.

We will serve lite refreshment, along with wine, water, and tea. Our goal is to make every person that attends the event cry, feel outraged, determined to seek change in our community, and finally uplifted.

Masks are highly encouraged but not required. Social Distancing will be implemented. Complementary paper, disposable face masks will be provided.
